Nigerian gospel singer Buchi Atuonwu has recounted the harrowing experience of nearly facing a firing squad, nearly losing his life.

The award-winning singer in an interview with Channels Television recounted his ordeal as he narrated how God came through for him.

He revealed that at a point in his life, he was lined up for execution when he cried out to God to save his life, promising to serve him. God granted him his desire and since then, he has devoted his life to serving God.

“At a point in my life, we were lined up for execution. It is true that the people that were to execute us, were kneeling before us, ready to fire. I called out to a God that I didn’t know that if He saves me, I will serve him. He saved me from that firing squad and I devoted my life to serving him”.

Last year, Buchi had urged the public to disregard rumors on social media that he had passed on. The singer refuted the rumor in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN in Enugu.

Sometimes back, Buchi narrated how a little boy saved him from the Islamic militants in the Northern part of Nigeria.

The gospel singer isn’t the only one whom God has saved and has dedicated his life to him.

Last year, Yul Edochie revealed how God saved his life in 2019 after a ghastly car accident, disclosing that he died after the accident, but God gave him a second life. He claimed God told him that his second life, would be for his glory, his word, and for humanity as he would love for Him only.

Following his return to life, the actor announced his calling into Ministry, disclosing that he was called a long time ago into ministry, but he felt the time wasn’t right, and now he was ready to accept the calling.

The actor had launched his online church where he held two services before he closed it down.
