A few casualties were recorded this morning at Galadimawa, Abuja, when a truck carrying sand lost control and ran over two Volkswagen Gulf cars.
The accident occurred around Galadimawa Roundabout at a spot where unregistered taxis use as a terminus for passengers going to the city centre or going through the Airport Road to Lugbe.
Eye witness account said many taxi operators and waiting passengers were also injured, prompting a  spontaneous rampage by some hoodlums.
Law enforcement officers and road traffic men arrived a few minutes later to restore normalcy and attend to casualties.
