Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, President Bola Tinubu’s daughter and current Iyaloja-General, has been appointed as the Ambassador for the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education, NCAOOSC.
The appointment was announced by Muhammad Sani Idris, Executive Secretary of the Commission, during his visit to Tinubu-Ojo’s Lagos residence.
Nura Muhammad, the Commission’s spokesperson, shared that Tinubu-Ojo was chosen for her commitment to underserved communities, particularly in advancing educational support for Almajiri and out-of-school children. Expressing her gratitude, Tinubu-Ojo emphasized her dedication to supporting these vulnerable groups, adding: “I am honoured by this role and committed to making a difference.”
She also praised her father’s lifelong commitment to education, describing it as “a legacy that will benefit generations of Nigerian children.”
National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education is a Government Parastatal, established by an Act of Parliament on Children’s Day, 27th May 2023, under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education.
