The Kwara State Government has directed all public sector workers who have not yet registered with the Kwara State Residents’ Registration Agency, KWSRRA, to complete their registration immediately. Failure to do so will result in workers being ineligible for salary payments and bonuses in November.

The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Hauwa Nuru, in a statement released on Monday in Ilorin. Nuru explained that the registration process, which began in July, is an essential step in building a comprehensive database that will support effective planning, resource management, and service delivery within the state.

“The KWSRRA is authorized by law to collect and manage residents’ data to ensure better resource allocation, improve public services, and enhance public safety,” Nuru said. She emphasized that all public sector employees, including those across the 16 local government areas of the state, are required to complete their registration.

As of November, workers who have not registered will not receive their salaries or any bonuses. Nuru highlighted that this initiative is part of the state administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability in managing state resources.

The commissioner also explained that an accurate database of all state workers will improve payroll efficiency, enhance service delivery, and ensure fair compensation. She urged employees to visit the nearest KWSRRA center to complete their registration without delay.

“Completing the registration process will allow the government to serve Kwara residents more effectively and make informed decisions on resource allocation,” Nuru added. “This is a critical step in ensuring a fair and transparent system for all state employees.”

The Kwara government reiterated that the registration is necessary for building a more efficient and equitable system for the state’s workforce and residents alike.
