A fire broke out early Thursday morning in Queen Elizabeth Hall, a female undergraduate hostel at the University of Ibadan, causing significant damage to the offices of the Hall Warden and the Secretary.
While the exact cause of the blaze remains unknown, university authorities have launched an investigation to determine the source of the fire.
The Director of Public Relations at the university, Mrs. Joke Akinpelu, confirmed the incident, stating: “Yes, it is true. The offices of both the Hall Warden and the Secretary were affected.” She assured the university community that steps are being taken to safeguard students and prevent further incidents.
