The Benue State Government has responded to an emergency created when a woman reportedly gave birth to a set of twins on a road in Ipav Mbaikpur, Gboko Local Government Area
The incident occurred along the Gboko-Katsina/Ala road. Eyewitness said the woman went into labor unexpectedly while on the busy road. As she gave birth, she reportedly threw the first of the two newborns onto the roadside.

Passersby were quick to respond to the scene, immediately rushing to assist both the mother and her babies.
The first child, who had been abandoned on the road, was quickly picked up and brought to safety.
Fortunately, both the mother and her newborns were transported to a nearby hospital where they were provided with the necessary medical care.
