A 42-year-old man in Lusaka has filed for divorce, claiming that a photo his wife took with American R&B star Chris Brown at his recent South African concert has caused irreparable damage to their marriage.

The photo, taken during a VIP “meet and greet” session after Brown’s concert at FNB Stadium, shows the singer kissing the 34-year-old woman on her cheek.

The image quickly went viral and has sparked a heated dispute between the couple.

Court documents disclose  that the husband describes the photograph as “demeaning” and claims it disrespects their marriage.

He argues that his wife’s behavior is unbecoming of a married woman and has caused both public humiliation and emotional distress.

The wife, who attended the concert’s exclusive VIP event, defended her actions, claiming the kiss was a lighthearted moment during a fan interaction and not romantic in nature.

She contends the photo should not be taken out of context and dismisses her husband’s concerns as an overreaction.

In his divorce petition, the husband said the photo amounted to a violation of trust and marital vows.

He confronted his wife upon her return from South Africa, but she reportedly downplayed the incident, insisting the photo was harmless.

This case has sparked a debate on social media, with some supporting the husband, arguing the image crossed a boundary for a married woman, while others feel the photo was innocent and should not lead to a divorce.
