Nigerian pastor and gospel artist, Nathaniel Bassey has been invited to minister at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast for U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
Scheduled for January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C., the event will take place ahead of the inauguration of Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance.

The prayer breakfast is described as a non-governmental and non-political gathering, to be hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner.
Set to be held at the Waldorf Astoria Presidential Ballroom, the event will feature prominent speakers such as Dr. Alveda King and Pastor Mario Bramnick.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Bassey said, “Let’s raise a sound in America. See you on January 20, 2025.”
In 2024, the Mayor of Albany, New York, honored Bassey by designating October 6 as “Pastor Nathaniel Bassey Day” in recognition of his contributions to gospel music and his global impact.
