Erling Haaland secures long-term future at Manchester City

Erling Haaland has officially signed a new contract with Manchester City, ensuring his stay at the Etihad Stadium for an impressive 9.5 years.

The Premier League champions made the announcement on Friday, highlighting the significance of the deal, which will keep the Norwegian striker at the club until 2034.

The 24-year-old’s previous contract, which was set to expire in June 2027, has now been extended, signaling his long-term commitment to the club.

Haaland has quickly become one of the most formidable strikers in world football, and his decision to secure his future with Manchester City further solidifies the club’s ambitions.

Since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm.

In just 126 appearances for City, he has scored an astonishing 111 goals, quickly becoming the team’s main attacking threat and breaking numerous records along the way.

Txiki Begiristain, the outgoing director of football at Manchester City expressed his delight at Haaland’s new contract.
