The substitute slotted home less than a minute after coming on, finishing off a layoff from Darwin Nunez with Liverpool’s first shot on target. The victory came against the run of play, with Arne Slot’s side surviving relentless PSG pressure, thanks to a series of stunning saves from Alisson.

PSG, unbeaten in their last 20 games, created numerous chances but failed to break through. Joao Neves blasted over an early opportunity, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s curling effort was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.
