Lady prodigy, Eniola Bolaji has once again proven her dominance on the global stage, securing gold at the 2025 Spanish Para Badminton International II in Vitoria.
The Paralympic bronze medallist’s latest victory extends her perfect record to 11 wins in 11 international tournaments.
The multiple African champion delivered a commanding performance in the women’s singles SL3 final, defeating Ukraine’s Oksana Kozyba 2-0 (21-15, 21-15) to claim the title.
Bolaji’s path to gold was nothing short of spectacular. She outclassed Brazil’s Kauana Michelson Beckenka 2-0 (21-15, 21-2) and France’s Caroline Bergeron 2-0 (21-7, 21-8) in the group stage before overpowering Australia’s Celine Vinot 2-0 (21-8, 21-12) in the quarterfinals. She sealed her place in the final with a dominant 2-0 (21-12, 21-6) win over India’s Neeraj.

President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, Francis Orbih, described Bolaji’s achievement as a testament to her dedication and rising global status. He reaffirmed the Federation’s commitment to supporting para badminton athletes, with a strong focus on securing more qualifications for the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics.
“The gold marks Bolaji’s second in just two months, proving that our athletes are capable of excelling at the highest level,” Orbih stated. “We remain dedicated to supporting her and all our para badminton players, ensuring Nigeria continues to shine on the global stage.”
He also acknowledged the National Sports Commission’s vital role in supporting the sport’s growth, describing its intervention as a crucial boost for Nigeria’s para badminton development.
