Popular skit maker and activist, Mr. Macaroni, has clarified that he is not seeking financial assistance, despite disclosing his shocking N500 million debt struggles.

Speaking with Saturday Beats, the comedian stated that he shared his experience to help others learn from his mistakes, not because he needed help.

“I’m not accepting any help or donations. I shared the story majorly because I wanted people to learn from my mistakes,” he emphasized.

Mr. Macaroni recently stunned his followers by disclosing his financial difficulties, which led to an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues.

In an emotional social media post, he admitted to being burdened by debts exceeding half a billion naira, after falling victim to a scam and a failed investment between 2021 and 2022.

He also acknowledged that financial recklessness and his tendency for excessive generosity contributed to his plight.

The comedian described the overwhelming weight of his debts and the betrayal from someone he trusted, which further destabilized him.

Nevertheless, Mr. Macaroni found strength to overcome the challenges, drawing resilience from his faith and the support of his loved ones.

In response, fellow activists and celebrities have expressed words of encouragement and support.

Social activist Rinu Oduala tweeted, “So sorry about this and I can attest to your financial kindness, not recklessness. Even in the midst of all these, you will still send money. May the love in our hearts be greater than all hate.”

Political commentator Morris Monye added, “Sorry about this. I used to share my pains too but I’m learning to hold it all in. God has given us all Grace to overcome challenges.”

Actor and producer Femi Adebayo remarked, “Debo, God bless you for sharing. Your good heart came through for you my brother.”

Actress Kehinde Bankole praised Mr. Macaroni’s accountability, saying, “This is a high level of accountability. Leadership of our own lives. So sorry to hear all you went through. I say daily, ‘everyone is dealing with something.’ May more financial, spiritual and mental healing continually lift you and all of us who may need it.”

Other celebrities such as Hypeman @do2dtun, Theonlychigul, Ejike Asiegbu, Broda Shaggi, and Aproko Doctor also shared words of support. Many public figures, including Nosa Rex, Kaffy, Chioma Nwosu, Adunni Ade, Officer Woos, Sharon Ooja, and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, rallied behind the comedian, sharing messages of encouragement.

Fans have also flooded social media, expressing how Mr. Macaroni’s story resonated deeply with them. One user, @Og_koded94, wrote, “God bless you for sharing. I am still in the same shoes. I pray God restores all our hope of a better life.”

The outpouring of support highlights the impact of Mr. Macaroni’s vulnerability, as his story continues to inspire others to persist in the face of challenges.
