President Bola Tinubu has appointed Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All-Progressives Congress, APC, as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority.

A statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, confirmed that President Bola Tinubu also approved the appointment of Hon. Fatuhu Mohammed Buhari from Katsina State as the Director-General of the National Agricultural Seed Council.

In addition, the President named 21 other individuals as board chairmen of key federal institutions, assigning them to strategic agencies across various sectors. Among them is Chief Emma Eneukwu, APC Deputy Chairman (South), who will chair the National Automotive Development Council, while Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, APC Kano State Chairman, has been assigned to the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service.

Dr. Austian Agada, APC Benue State Chairman, has been appointed as Board Chairman of the National Agricultural Seed Council, while Mallam Muhammad Massan, APC Bauchi State Chairman, will lead the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute, Ilorin. Hon. Macdonald Ebere, APC Imo State Chairman, has been appointed as Board Chairman of the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos.

Ubong Stephen Ntukekpo, APC Akwa Ibom State Chairman, will oversee the National Institute for Freshwater Fish, New Bussa. Aminu Musa Bobi, APC Niger State Chairman, will serve as Board Chairman of the National Library of Nigeria. Pharm. Abass Olayide, APC Oyo State Chairman, will head the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Kaduna, while Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, APC Yobe State Chairman, takes charge of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre.

Benjamin Omale, APC Benue State Chairman, has been appointed as Board Chairman of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu, while Rufus Bature, APC Plateau State Chairman, will oversee the Nigerian Coal Corporation. Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Kana, APC Kebbi State Chairman, has been named Board Chairman of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies.

Hon. Donatus Nwankpa, a member of the APC National Working Committee from Abia State, will lead the Project Development Institute, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, APC Adamawa State Chairman, has been assigned to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons. Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, APC Abia State Chairman, will chair the National Parks Headquarters.

Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, APC Federal Capital Territory Chairman, has been appointed as Board Chairman of the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan. Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi, APC Taraba State Chairman, will head the Environmental Health Registration Council of Nigeria, while Sola Elesin, APC Ekiti State Chairman, takes charge of the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences.

Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, APC Edo State Chairman, has been appointed as Board Chairman of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure. Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani, APC Zamfara State Chairman, will lead the Federal Medical Centre, Azare. Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel, APC Jigawa State Chairman, has been named Board Chairman of the Federal College of Produce Inspection and Stored Products Technology, Kano. Barr. Idris Shuaibu, APC Adamawa State Chairman, will oversee the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan.

The appointments by Tinubu reflect the administration’s effort to strengthen key institutions and enhance governance across various sectors.
