Super Eagles striker and KRC Genk forward, Tolu Arokodare, has declared his ambition to play in the English Premier League, describing it as a long-held dream and the next logical step in his football career.
Speaking on Friday in London, the 24-year-old forward—who had a standout 2024/2025 season with 21 goals and five assists in 40 matches—said he was exploring new opportunities and hoped to join a bigger club soon.
“It has always been a dream to play in the English Premier League,” Arokodare said. “I’m trying to go higher and I believe it’s what the club and my coaches also want for me. In life, you just have to take that step forward—and I think it’s time.”
While expressing his appreciation for his current team, Genk, Arokodare emphasized that his desire to move does not imply any lack of respect for the Belgian Pro League, which he credited for helping him grow as a player.

Arokodare also spoke passionately about his recent inclusion in the Super Eagles squad, describing it as an emotional milestone in his career.
“There are lots of football players in Nigeria who would love to have this opportunity,” he said. “I feel very honoured to put on this jersey and represent my country doing what I love. Whether I’m on the pitch or on the bench, I will always support the team.”
Sources within the camp suggest Arokodare may be in contention to lead the line for Nigeria in the final of the 2025 Unity Cup against Jamaica, especially as Cyril Dessers reportedly sat out Thursday’s training session.
His form and versatility have drawn attention from clubs in England, Germany, and France, making a summer transfer highly likely.
