Premium Times Services Limited will Thursday host the inaugural edition of its Employability Summit at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Themed “Converting Nigeria’s Demography into Assets,” the summit is designed to be a high-impact gathering of leaders and innovators who are passionate about transforming Nigeria’s demographic strength into economic opportunity.

With over 60% of Nigeria’s population under the age of 25, the need for urgent, coordinated action to address youth unemployment and skills mismatch has never been more pressing.

The summit will convene a diverse mix of government leaders, business executives, civil society organisations, development experts, academic professionals, and key players from the private sector.

Through keynote addresses, panel discussions, plenary sessions, and fireside chats, the forum will explore forward-looking strategies on skills development, vocational training, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and labour market readiness.

Among the high-profile speakers and panelists expected are:

  • Niyi Yusuf, Chairman, Nigerian Economic Summit Group

  • Ziad Maalouf, Managing Director, 7Up Bottling Company

  • Uyi Akpata, Former Country Partner, PwC Nigeria

  • Michael Ikpoki, CEO, Africa Context Advisory Partners

  • Esiri Agbeyi, Africa Family Business Leader, PwC Nigeria

  • Obi Asika, Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC)

  • Oludare Odusanya, GM, British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation

  • Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, Founder/CEO, Rise Networks

  • Kelechi Abiri, Founder, Reposebay HR Ltd

  • Prof. Lere Baale, CEO, Business School Netherlands

  • Lara Yeku, Divisional Director, HR, Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

  • Nneka Eneli, Director, Workforce Outsourcing

  • Samira Bello, CEO, Aadun & Co.

  • Oladeinde Olawoyin, Business Editor, Premium Times

Organisers say the summit will not just be a dialogue session but a launchpad for real-world partnerships and policy actions aimed at improving Nigeria’s human capital potential.

It also intends to serve as a commitment platform, where stakeholders can pledge support to initiatives that will build an inclusive, resilient, and opportunity-rich economy for young Nigerians.

“This isn’t just another talk shop,” said a representative from Premium Times. “We are bringing together those who are serious about the future of work, job creation, and bridging the employability gap in Nigeria.”

The summit is organised in collaboration with Business School Netherlands, 7Up Bottling Company, and The SME Scale Up, reinforcing the need for cross-sector partnerships in driving employment-focused innovation.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with unemployment, underemployment, and a rapidly expanding youth population, Employability Summit 2025 emerges as a timely and strategic intervention. Stakeholders and citizens alike are invited to engage, contribute ideas, and drive forward meaningful progress.
