Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Olomu of Omupo, Oba Adebayo Buari and Mayor Emilagba are on the long line of people celebrating Dr. Monisoye Afolabi on his 75th birthday, praising his leadership, wisdom, and community impact.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor praised Dr. Afolabi’s “excellent service to the West-African subregion, Nigeria, and Kwara State as a diplomat, public official, and guardian angel to younger generations.” He described him as a shining example of patriotism and selfless leadership, whose tenure as President of the Omupo Descendants Union has fostered unity and development across the community.
“As President of ODU, we are proud of Dr. Afolabi’s leadership to the people of the community. Under his guidance, Omupo has made tremendous progress in community development and harmony among its sons and daughters,” the Governor stated.
The Olomu of Omupo, HRH Oba Muhammed-Yakubu Adebayo Buari, alongside all sons and daughters of Omupo, also extended heartfelt felicitations to Dr. Afolabi. In a goodwill message, the monarch described him as “an icon and indefatigable leader” whose wisdom and dedication have inspired many.
“Your leadership has brought impressive transformation to Omupo town. This momentous occasion is the Lord’s doing, and we glorify God for your life of impact,” the message read.
Similarly, Mayor Jubril Kolawole Emilagba, Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, paid tribute to Dr. Afolabi, commending his “purposeful life of vision, integrity, and compassion.”
