The Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the Imo State governorship election, Frank Mba, emphasized the police’s readiness to provide adequate security for the voters, assuring the public that the state is not a war zone nor in a state of unrest.

Mba made this announcement during a press conference at the command headquarters in Owerri, addressing the media on the level of preparedness for the upcoming Saturday polls.

He stated that the police, along with other security agencies, is fully prepared to ensure the safety of voters and maintain a peaceful environment during the election.

Mba emphasized the commitment to creating a level playing ground for all political parties and assured that the security concerns in the state are manageable.

“The security concerns of the state are not insurmountable because they are clearly things we can surmount.

I’m positive that we will deliver,” the DIG said.
