In a significant victory against criminal elements, troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully neutralized six terrorists during clearance operations in the Birnin Gwari and Giwa Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.

The operation, aimed at rooting out bandits, was confirmed by Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna State.

The military’s decisive actions included extensive clearance patrols along the Kaduna-Sabon Birni-Dogon Dawa Road, covering Maidaro, Ngede Allah, Saulawa, and Kidandan areas.

Engaging with the bandits at various points, the troops swiftly subdued the criminal elements, resulting in the neutralization of six bandits. The operation also led to the recovery of two AK-47 rifles, four AK-47 magazines, 14 rounds of ammunition, and 40 pairs of bandits’ uniforms. Additionally, nine motorcycles belonging to the bandits were captured.

Governor Uba Sani expressed his satisfaction with the security forces’ breakthrough, commending the leadership of the GOC One Division and Force Commander of Operation Whirl Punch, Major General VO Okoro. The governor praised the troops for their dedicated efforts and urged them to maintain the momentum and focus in ongoing operations.

Citizens were reminded to report any suspicious persons or activities to the Security Operations Room for prompt action by security agencies. Governor Uba Sani emphasized the importance of collective vigilance and encouraged citizens not to aid individuals seeking medical attention for gunshot wounds around the affected locations but to report such cases promptly.

This successful military operation underscores the commitment of security forces to tackling insecurity in Kaduna State and reinforces the importance of collaborative efforts between the government and citizens in maintaining a secure environment.
