President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences to the family of Major-General Chris Alli ,rtd, the former Chief of Army Staff, who passed away on Sunday.
Major-General Alli served as the Chief of Army Staff from 1993 to 1994 before retiring from service.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu described the loss as painful and praised the late General for his faithful service to the country. Major-General Alli held various significant positions within the Army, including Director of Military Intelligence ,DMI, earning respect throughout his career.
President Tinubu’s sympathy underscores the significance of Major-General Alli’s contributions to the nation’s security and defense. The late General’s service during a crucial period in Nigeria’s military history is acknowledged, and his passing is mourned not only by his family but also by the larger military community.
