Hamas has extended an invitation to Elon Musk, urging him to witness firsthand the aftermath of the violence and devastation inflicted upon the Gaza Strip by Israel.
Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan issued the invitation prompting Musk, who recently visited a kibbutz targeted by Hamas, to explore a more comprehensive perspective.
Hamdan, in a press conference in Beirut, called on Musk to visit Gaza and witness the impact of the conflict on the local population. The official emphasized the need for objectivity and credibility in understanding the extent of the massacres and destruction.
During Musk’s recent visit to Israel, he expressed shock at the damage caused by the October 7 attack on Kfar Aza, asserting that Israel had “no choice” but to take action against Hamas. Musk’s commitment to combatting hatred was highlighted during this visit.

Addressing recent criticism regarding his social media platform, Musk, the owner of social media platform X, faced accusations of hosting anti-Semitic and white nationalist rhetoric. These allegations have added another layer to the ongoing discourse surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In a notable shift from previous statements, Musk entered into an agreement during his visit to Israel, stating that “Starlink satellite units would only be operated in Israel with the approval of the Israeli Ministry of Communications, including the Gaza Strip.”
This marks a departure from earlier considerations of providing Starlink to enhance communications in Gaza during telecommunications blackouts.
Hamas’ call for Elon Musk to visit Gaza aligns with broader appeals to the international community. The senior official urged the United States to reassess its relationship with Israel, specifically calling for a halt to the supply of weapons.
Additionally, there is a plea for specialized civil defense teams from the international community to aid in the recovery efforts, retrieving bodies from beneath the rubble in the war-torn region.
