Unknown gunmen on Thursday assassinated one Mr Linus Nmuo, a businessman in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
The businessman, popularly known as Sakatan, was killed at his country home in Egbuoma community, Oguta LGA in the early hours of the day.
A family source disclosed that on arrival, the attackers went to Sakatan house and dragged him out, shot him repeatedly and made sure he died before they left the scene.
The source said: “Livinus Nmuo, AKA Sakatan from Umuezikegbu Egbuoma in Oguta LGA Imo State, has been assassinated. He was killed in the early hours of today, Thursday, November 30, 2023. He was my cousin”.
The State police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, had yet to respond to an inquiry concerning the murder case as at the time of filing this report.
