Two brothers drowned on Christmas Day at Ibeshe Beach, in a statement released by the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Command, informed reporters on Thursday in Lagos that the incident had been reported to the police.
He said the incident took place when the brothers and their friends were swimming at around six o’clock in the evening. The brothers—who go by the surname Adegboyega—were 26 and 23 years old, and Festac Town was home to the family.
The person who took the photo claimed that after the brothers’ friends and local divers tried in vain to save them, the incident was reported to the police.

Hundeyin claims that, detectives went to the location where the deceased drowned.
He claimed that regional divers were employed to locate the bodies and the family of the deceased was informed of the incident.
