Gunmen shot a traditional chief in Sagamu, Ogun dead on Tuesday.
Popular traditional chief in Ogun state, Adeyinka Folarin, the Baasegun of the Itunsokun village in the state, has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen.
He was shot at his Sagamu residence on Tuesday, January 9, by the gunmen suspected to be cultists.
Reporters gathered that the three-man gang shot the chief in his head at close quarters.

He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Abiodun Alamutu, confirmed the attack and assured that the assailants would be arrested.
“I have just returned from Sagamu. It is true. We are suspecting murder and we are on top of it.
“We are trying to unravel the mystery behind the death,’’ Alamutu said.
