Al-Kadriya sisters who were abducted alongside their father, Mansoor in Abuja on December 26 2023, have now been freed 19 days after abduction.
A video shared by a brother to the six sisters on Sunday showed the girls celebrating their release and saying Alhamdulillah.
The ordeal began when the bandits abducted Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar and his six children from their home in the Bwari Area Council of Abuja.

During the abduction, the kidnappers shot dead Alhaji Mansoor’s brother, Abdulfatai, who had earlier alerted the police.
The gunmen later freed their father, asking him to go get N60m as ransom for the release of his daughters before Friday, January 12.
However, one of the sisters, identified as Nabeeha, was killed by the gunmen.
The 400-level biological science student at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, was murdered on Friday, leaving her siblings Najeebah, 500 level, Quantity Surveying, Nadheerah, 300 level, Zoology, and three others in the clutches of the kidnappers.
News of Nabeeha’s murder has sparked outrage among Nigerians.
In a bid to raise money, Nigerians were urged to donate whatever they have into a bank account, but not enough money was gathered as of Friday.
As of the time of filing this report, it could not be verified if the family paid ransom for their release or rescued by the security operatives.
