Legendary Cameroonian Roger Milla has foretold a fierce match between his nation and Nigeria in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The two titans of African football will square off in a Round of 16 match on Saturday at Abidjan’s Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium. In their previous two matches in the AFCON finals, the Super Eagles prevailed over the other team.
In 2004, in Tunisia, the West Africans defeated the Indomitable Lions in the quarterfinals.
Cameroon’s elimination from the 2019 Egypt-hosted AFCON Round of 16 was likewise a result of the Super Eagles.
Milla, a member of the Cameroon team who lost to the Super Eagles in the championship game in 1984 and 1988, declined to take a punt on the outcome of the match. “This game is likely to be tough.
Milla stated on RTI, “It’s a game between two brothers who know each other very well.”
“At this point, it’s hard to tell who will win the game.”
