In a pivotal legal battle, the Supreme Court on Monday deferred judgment in the appeal lodged by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its Adamawa State governorship candidate, Aisha Dahiru also known as Binani against the incumbent state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri.
Previously, both the state election petition tribunal and the Court of Appeal had dismissed Binani’s petition, upholding Fintiri’s victory.
The Monday hearing at the Supreme Court witnessed arguments from all parties involved, and after careful consideration, a five-member panel led by Justice John Okoro adjourned the matter, leaving the final verdict pending.
