The Kebbi State Government has suspended academic activities indefinitely in two private schools in the state over failure to pay their annual due.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Director, Higher Education, Malam Aliyu Shehu-Jega, and made available to the newsmen on Tuesday.
The director quoted the Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Isah Abubakar-Tunga, as making the announcement in Birnin Kebbi.

He named the affected schools as Lamido Umaru Mutube College of Advanced Studies also known as Health Sciences and Technology, Dakingari, and SAHAM College of Health Sciences and Technology, Zuru.
The commissioner explained that the suspension of academic activities in the affected schools followed their failure to pay their annual dues of N100,000 each for two consecutive years of 2022 and 2023, respectively.
Credible news reports that the debt incurred by each of the affected schools amounted to N200,000 only.
