In a bid to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, President Bola Tinubu has announced the reconstitution of their management teams.
The move, which reflects a strategic realignment of leadership, aims to drive forward the nation’s digital transformation agenda.
The appointments, approved by President Tinubu, include a cadre of highly qualified professionals poised to steer these agencies toward greater success.
At the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Abraham Oshadami has been appointed as the Executive Commissioner for Technical Services, while Rimini Makama assumes the role of Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management. Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi has been appointed as the President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute.
Similarly, at the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited, Abiodun Attah takes on the position of Executive Director for Technical Services, Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director for Finance & Administration, and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director for Marketing & Business Development.
Galaxy Backbone Limited sees Ibrahim Adepoju Adeyanju stepping in as the Managing Director/CEO, Mohammed Sani Ibrahim as Executive Director for Finance & Corporate Services, Olusegun Olulade as Executive Director for Customer Centricity & Marketing, and Olumbe Akinkugbe as Executive Director for Digital Exploration & Technical Services.
The reconstituted teams are expected to bring their wealth of experience to bear in driving innovation and excellence within their respective agencies. President Tinubu expressed confidence that these seasoned professionals will play pivotal roles in advancing the digital economy sector, thereby contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the nation.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President, emphasized the government’s commitment to leveraging technology as a catalyst for national development. He urged the newly appointed officials to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in the discharge of their duties.
