On Wednesday evening, Ghana engaged in a thrilling battle against Zambia. Despite securing a narrow 1-0 away victory, the Copper Queens hosted the Black Queens in Ndola. A late goal by the experienced Barba Banda resulted in a 3-3 draw, allowing Zambia to advance 4-3 on aggregate.
In a North African showdown, Morocco dominated Tunisia 4-1 after narrowly defeating them 2-1 in Tunis a few days earlier. This victory puts Morocco, who recently debuted in the FIFA World Cup, in a strong position to qualify for another global competition.
The upcoming final qualifiers will feature South Africa against Nigeria and Zambia against Morocco in two-legged fixtures scheduled between April 1st and 9th, 2024.
