Manchester City has entered the competition to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
Branthwaite, born on June 27, 2002, in Carlisle, Cumbria, is an English professional footballer who plays for Everton in the Premier League. He began his career in Carlisle United’s youth system and signed his first professional contract in February 2019. Branthwaite made his debut for Carlisle United in October 2019 and has since garnered attention for his impressive performances.
Several clubs, including Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Real Madrid, are reportedly interested in signing the 21-year-old defender, according to Daily Mail.

However, while City are already blessed with a number of top central defenders, they see Branthwaite as a rising star, similar to John Stones; a homegrown talent who’s comfortable with the ball and playing out from the back with both feet. Stones made the move to City from Everton for £47.5 million back in 2016.
Branthwaite’s transfer is valued at around £60m and received his first call-up to the England senior squad for this international window, where he is expected to feature at some point against Belgium on Tuesday night.
