Debtors to Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, have been asked to pay or risk disconnection from Monday.
Top on the list of those owing huge sum are government agencies, military organs and state governments.
The DisCo in a notice on Saturday, said it will disconnect all clients who fail to clear their debts by June 3.
“This is to inform the general public that AEDC will disconnect all customers with outstanding electricity bills on June 3, 2024,” the notice reads.

“Timely payment of electricity bills is crucial for the continued operation and enhancement of AEDC’s infrastructure, ensuring we can deliver efficient and reliable service to our community”, said AEDC.
It therefore urged customers with debts to clear all outstanding bills before the deadline to avoid service interruption.
Some of the debtors are the Nigeria Army, Nigeria Airforce, Defence Headquarters, Federal Capital Development Authority, Kogi and Niger State Governments, the Nigeria Police Force and Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
