The Super Eagles on Friday defeated the Libyan national team by a lone goal, enough remain top of Group D of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers with seven points from three games
The Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifying match was played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Friday evening.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 87th minute by second half substitute, Fisayo Dele-Basiru.
With the win, Nigeria remains top of Group D with seven points from three games, closely followed by Benin Republic which has six points from the same number of games.
Rwanda occupy the third spot with two points, while Libya are bottom with a single point.
