The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has dealt a significant blow to terrorists in the Lake Chad Basin with targeted airstrikes that destroyed a key food storage depot and neutralized several fighters.
Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information said the airstrikes occurred on November 23 at Jubillaram in the Tumbuns area. The site, identified through thorough intelligence and surveillance efforts, served as a crucial logistical hub and a hideout for terrorist commanders linked to recent attacks, including the November 16 assault on troops in Kareto.
The operation saw fighter jets demolishing structures used for storage and eliminating terrorists attempting to flee the strike zone. Cannons were deployed for mop-up operations to ensure the complete eradication of hostile elements.
