Tech billionaire Elon Musk has changed his name to Kekius Maximus on X, the social media platform he owns. The change, made on Tuesday, came without any explanation from Musk himself.

This name change follows growing scrutiny of Musk’s political influence, particularly after allegations that he may be attempting to sway the upcoming presidential election in Germany. Musk’s influence across global political landscapes has been expanding, prompting concerns from various quarters.

In the U.S., Musk has been a target of Democratic criticisms, especially since his outspoken support for former President Donald Trump. Musk notably backed Trump after a shooting incident at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, later contributing an estimated $200 million to a Political Action Committee , PAC,  supporting the former president’s re-election bid.

However, Trump has publicly downplayed the notion of Musk pursuing a political career in the U.S. In a recent speech in Arizona, Trump dismissed speculation that Musk could run for president, emphasizing, “No, he’s not taking the presidency. He’s not going to be president, that I can tell you. You know why he can’t be? He wasn’t born in this country.” Trump further criticized those propagating the idea, calling it a “hoax.”
