Nigerian music stars Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, and Tems have earned nominations for the 2025 National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, NAACP, Image Awards.
The artists received recognition in the nominations list for the annual event, which was recently released by the organizers.
The 56th NAACP Image Awards will be held on February 22 at the Pasadena Civic Center in California, USA.
Burna Boy, alongside American artist Usher, received a nomination for “Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration, Contemporary,” for their song “Coming Home.” Meanwhile, Chris Brown’s song “Hmmm,” featuring Davido, earned a nomination for “Outstanding International Song.”

Wizkid is also in the running for the same category with his hit single ‘Piece of My Heart,’ featuring American artist Brent Faiyaz.
The song also garnered a nomination for “Best International Song,” giving Wizkid two nominations in total.
Tems, the renowned female singer, earned a nomination in the “Best International Song” category for her track “Love Me Jeje” from her debut album, “Born in the Wild.”
Ayo Edebiri made an impressive mark with five nominations, including “Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series” and “Outstanding Voiceover.” Meanwhile, South African Grammy winner Tyla received a nomination for “Outstanding New Artist.”
The NAACP Image Awards celebrate the exceptional achievements and representations of people of color in various fields such as motion pictures, television, music, and literature.
The 2025 edition of the award ceremony will be broadcast live on BET and CBS, with the theme “Our Stories, Our Culture, Our Excellence,” emphasizing diversity within the entertainment industry.
