Former Big Brother Naija house mate Nengi Rebecca Hampson welcomed a baby girl on February 21.

The reality star announced the news on her official Instagram page, describing her daughter as “the purest form of love.”

“My greatest blessing, my heart in human form, my purpose. God knew I needed you, my baby… I love you more than words could ever explain. It’s us forever,” she wrote.

Alongside the heartfelt message, Nengi shared clips from her pregnancy journey leading up to the moment her daughter was born.

Before her baby’s birth, speculations about the child’s paternity made rounds on social media. Addressing the claims on February 11, Nengi dismissed allegations linking her pregnancy to a Nigerian governor.

“As much as I believe social media lies aren’t worth my time, I’ve come to accept that we live in a world where people are quick to spread lies without limits. So let me be clear: I’m not pregnant for any governor,” she stated on X  formerly Twitter.

She expressed frustration over the misinformation and emphasized her desire to enjoy her pregnancy in peace.

Following her announcement, fellow celebrities and fans flooded her social media with congratulatory messages. Nigerian singer Spyro defended her against the rumors, urging people to respect her privacy and celebrate the arrival of her baby.

“The baby is a gift from the Lord,” he said, praising Nengi as “beautiful inside and out.”

With over 90,000 messages from well-wishers, Nengi’s journey into motherhood has been met with love and excitement from her supporters.
