Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa took the oath of office on Monday in Akure, promising a future anchored on security, job creation, and technological advancement for Ondo State.

The Chief Judge of the state, Justice Olusegun Odusola, administered the oath to Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, at a ceremony attended by top political figures, including APC National Chairman Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and former Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko.

In his inaugural address, Aiyedatiwa acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence that with collective effort, the administration would succeed.

He paid tribute to past leaders for laying a solid foundation and assured citizens of a government committed to their welfare.

The governor highlighted security as a top priority, alongside job creation through investments in technology and innovation. Plans to establish technical schools across the state’s senatorial districts were also unveiled as part of efforts to equip youths with skills for employment.

Ondo State, he noted, has recorded significant progress in infrastructure, social welfare, agriculture, health, and entrepreneurship. His administration, he assured, would build on these achievements while ensuring the well-being of the most vulnerable citizens.

Appealing for unity, Aiyedatiwa called on opposition parties to collaborate in advancing the state rather than engaging in political distractions. He pledged to lead with integrity and a commitment to progress, urging all residents to work together for a brighter future.
