Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, better known as Baba Tee, has backtracked on his previous denial and publicly admitted to having a brief sexual encounter with Ganiyu Morufu, aka Lande’s wife, Dara.
This disclosure came during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTok influencers.
Baba Tee’s confession contradicted his earlier stance, in which he denied the affair and challenged Lande to provide proof or face legal action for defamation.
The comedian had previously accused Baba Tee and 20 other men in the entertainment industry of being involved with his wife, Dara, who allegedly left him after he discovered her infidelity.
In an interview, Lande claimed that his wife’s affair with multiple men had led to their separation, naming Baba Tee in both an Instagram post and a viral interview.
At that time, Baba Tee denied any romantic involvement with Dara, stating he only met her once, last year, through actress Marygold, who introduced her as an aspiring content creator.
He further claimed he only later discovered Dara’s connection to Lande after overhearing a conversation.

However, during Sunday’s live interview, Baba Tee admitted to having slept with Dara, explaining that the encounter occurred after a drunken round of “Truth or Dare” with Dara and Marygold.
Baba Tee explained that he was unaware of Dara’s true identity at the time, as Marygold had introduced her as a content creator.
The situation, he claimed, escalated when Marygold dared Dara to engage in a sexual act with him, which Dara agreed to, making it a “short” affair that was never intended to happen.
Baba Tee stated, “Marygold introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife. When the game started, Marygold was encouraging me to participate, and I ended up having a quick sexual encounter with Dara. I never intended for it to happen, and it was only now that I realized it was part of a setup to damage my reputation.”
Esabod advised Baba Tee to publicly apologize to Lande, emphasizing that his initial denial and legal threats only made the situation worse.
The actor took to Facebook on Monday to express his regret. In a brief post, he wrote: “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. I never knew Dara was your wife…Hmmm. I fear women.”
Marygold, who is also managing Lande’s career, has been accused of recording the encounter between Baba Tee and Dara, adding fuel to the ongoing controversy.
