The Nigerian entertainment industry is buzzing with controversies, heated debates, and musical excitement as top celebrities make headlines.

From Asake’s family crisis to Peller’s social media drama and Davido’s much-anticipated new release, fans are actively engaging in online discussions.

Superstar singer Asake has come under intense criticism following reports that his father, who recently suffered a stroke, publicly pleaded for financial assistance.

The emotional revelation has stirred outrage on social media, with many accusing Asake of neglecting his father in his time of need.

Some fans insist that Asake should prioritize his father’s well-being, while others argue that personal family matters should not be judged by outsiders. Addressing the controversy, Asake took to social media with a cryptic message in Yoruba: “You can’t please everyone, you can’t please the world. But anything you are doing, just do it for God.”

While some fans saw his response as a heartfelt reflection, others felt it failed to address his father’s concerns. The debate continues to spark mixed reactions online, with supporters and critics fiercely defending their views.

Popular TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has landed in hot water after making a controversial remark about Afrobeat singer Runtown. During a live session on TikTok, Peller referred to Runtown as an “upcoming artiste,” sparking widespread reactions from fans.

Runtown, best known for his 2016 hit song Mad Over You, has established himself as a key figure in Afrobeats. Fans quickly took to social media to defend him, slamming Peller for what they saw as disrespect.

Following the backlash, Peller issued an apology, claiming he was unaware of Runtown’s status in the industry. However, many felt the apology was insincere, arguing that the damage had already been done.

Amidst the controversies, Afrobeats megastar Davido is keeping the energy positive with new music. As he gears up for the release of his fifth studio album, 5ive, he has dropped a fresh single, Still Be There.

The song, which will be the third track on his upcoming album, reflects on Davido’s resilience and longevity in the music industry. He celebrates his 12-year journey, highlighting his commitment to his craft and financial success.

With “Still Be There” already generating significant buzz online, fans are eagerly anticipating what the full album will bring. Many have praised Davido for his lyrical depth and musical versatility, further solidifying his place as one of Afrobeats’ biggest names.

As the entertainment industry continues to deliver both drama and excitement, fans remain glued to their screens, ready for the next big headline.
