Vice Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas (retd.), the Sole Administrator for Rivers State, has officially arrived in the state to begin his duties.
Ibas landed at Port Harcourt International Airport at approximately 11:25 am on Thursday, where he was welcomed by senior officials and security personnel.
Accompanied by Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, and the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 16, Ibas headed directly to Government House in Port Harcourt.

Upon arrival at the Government House, Ibas was given a tour by state officials.
He is currently engaged in a closed-door meeting with senior security officers, Federal Government representatives, and state government officials.
Ibas was sworn in as Sole Administrator by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday.
