Muslims across Kwara State have been celebrated by the Nigeria Union of Journalists. Kwara Television Chapel, as they mark the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
The festival signifies the successful completion of Ramadan, a sacred month of fasting, devotion, and self-discipline, reflecting the Islamic values of compassion, peace, and unity.
In a statement, the Chapel Chairperson, Busayo Aweda, congratulated Muslim brothers and sisters, urging them to uphold the noble teachings of Prophet Muhammad. She emphasized the importance of love, peace, and selflessness in fostering a harmonious society.
Aweda highlighted that Eid-el-Fitr is a time for gratitude to Almighty Allah, a moment to strengthen family and community bonds, and an opportunity to promote unity and understanding among all Nigerians. She encouraged everyone to embrace the spirit of tolerance and mutual respect, regardless of religious or ethnic backgrounds.

She reaffirmed the union’s commitment to truthfulness, fairness, and responsible journalism, stressing its role in promoting national unity and development. She also called on journalists to continue upholding ethical standards while disseminating information.
Furthermore, she urged the Muslim Ummah to seize this occasion for fervent prayers for the nation’s economic stability, unity, and lasting peace. She expressed hope that acts of worship, fasting, and supplications offered during Ramadan would be accepted and rewarded by Almighty Allah.
The Chapel remains dedicated to fuelling a peaceful society and promoting values that strengthen national cohesion. The statement was jointly signed by the Chairperson, Busayo Aweda, and the Secretary, Muslimat Abubakar.
