The 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and Governor Alex Otti of Abia have scheduled the party’s National Executive Committee meeting for April 9 in Abuja.
Spokesman of the Peter Obi Media Reach, Mr. Ibrahim Umar, made this known in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
Umar said the meeting would be closely followed by an interactive session with major stakeholders and other organs of the party.
According to him, stakeholders expected at the meeting include Obi’s running mate in the 2023 election, Datti Baba-Ahmed, serving and former senators, as well as all senatorial candidates in the 2023 election.
Others include serving and former members of the House of Representatives, candidates in the 2023 election, members of the National Caretaker Committee, and the National Transition Committee.

Also expected are former governorship candidates still in the party, representatives of the NLC/TUC Political Commission, and all members of the former National Working Committee.
The spokesman said the meeting, called by the two party leaders, had become necessary to clarify the recent Supreme Court judgment.
