The truck was descending the steep Kugbo hill when the driver reportedly lost control due to brake failure. The vehicle ploughed through the morning traffic, crushing several cars and causing chaos along the busy route.

Though the exact number of casualties remains unconfirmed, multiple fatalities have been reported, while several other victims are receiving treatment for varying degrees of injury.
This is the second fatal crash on the same Karu Bridge in less than a month. On March 19, a Dangote trailer powered by Compressed Natural Gas lost control and exploded after hitting several vehicles, killing at least eight people and destroying 14 cars.
The repeated incidents have raised serious concerns among residents and road users, who are calling for immediate government intervention to prevent further tragedies.
