The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has beckoned Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In an Easter message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Mrs. Lizy Okoji in Abuja, the minister described the agenda as a transformative blueprint capable of bringing sustainable growth and meaningful development to the country.
Prince Audu encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful and united, particularly in light of the socio-economic reforms being implemented by the federal government.
“As we celebrate, I encourage all Nigerians to remain hopeful and supportive of the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President, which is geared towards delivering transformative change and sustainable growth for our country,” the minister stated.
Reaffirming his confidence in the federal government’s plans for national development, Audu highlighted the critical role of the steel industry in advancing industrialisation and economic revival.
He said the Renewed Hope Agenda was already drawing international investment into Nigeria’s steel sector, with a roadmap in place to produce 10 million metric tonnes of steel annually.

Beyond the economic thrust of the government’s initiative, the minister’s Easter message also focused on the symbolic meaning of the season. He described Easter as a period of renewal, reflection, and spiritual rebirth, urging Nigerians to embrace values that promote national unity.
“Easter offers an important opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to the values that unite us—kindness, compassion, unity, and peace,” he said.
Audu appealed to Christians to mirror the selfless love demonstrated by Jesus Christ, by showing empathy and understanding in their daily lives.
He added that such virtues were essential in fostering national cohesion and resilience amid ongoing challenges.
The minister concluded his message by wishing Nigerians a joyful and peaceful Easter, expressing optimism that the season would inspire greater patriotism and shared commitment to national progress.
