Top Nollywood filmmaker Funke Akindele, rapper Falz, media personality KieKie, and other creatives inspired fans at the #WithChude Live show.
The event, hosted by entrepreneur and storyteller Chude Jideonwo on Sunday night, marked the debut edition of his live conversation series.
Jideonwo described #WithChude Live as more than a talk show, calling it a safe space where laughter, vulnerability, wisdom, and healing converge.
He said the show was designed to create an atmosphere where people of all ages, especially young Nigerians, could feel seen, heard, and uplifted.
Sharing her journey, Akindele emphasized that the show highlighted humanity, allowing celebrities to openly discuss their struggles, pain, and triumphs.
She recounted her experience with online bullying, especially over her marital status, revealing that therapy helped her regain strength and resilience.
“There was a video where women mocked me for not having a husband. I cried a lot but realized I needed to speak to someone,” she said.
Akindele said that after therapy, she found healing and later channeled her experiences into storytelling, producing a film inspired by her struggles.
She further spoke on her historic achievement of crossing one billion naira at the Nigerian box office, despite being earlier discouraged by a fellow filmmaker.
