Dr. Ike Neliaku, President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, has been elected as Regional Delegate-at-Large of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
Dr. Neliaku was elected to represent Nigeria at the ongoing 23rd Annual General Meeting of the Global Alliance in Venice, Italy. He joins eleven other esteemed delegates from various regions, including Adrian Cropley of the Centre for Strategic Communication Excellence (Australia), Bonnie Caver of Reputation Lighthouse (USA), Prof. Dailen Rene Benecke of the Public Relations Association of Southern Africa (South Africa), Gesille Buot from the ASEAN Public Relations Network (Indonesia), and Steve Shepperson-Smith from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK).

In addition, Dr. Wole Adamolekum, a Fellow of NIPR from Elizade University, was elected as Delegate-at-Large representing the academic and research sector, highlighting the important link between practice and scholarship in the field of public relations.
Global Alliance President Prof. Justin Green congratulated the newly elected Delegates-at-Large, urging them to leverage their roles to reposition and elevate the public relations profession in their respective countries and areas of expertise.
This election marks a significant milestone for NIPR and Nigeria’s public relations community as they take on a more prominent role in influencing global public relations and communication practices.
