Nollywood star and entrepreneur Iyabo Ojo has confirmed that her office in Lagos was engulfed in flames on the evening of Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

The incident, which occurred around 7:00 p.m., resulted in extensive property damage, though thankfully, no lives were lost.

Taking to her Instagram page on Wednesday, Ojo posted a video showing the aftermath of the fire. The clip revealed thick smoke stains coating the walls, furniture, and staircases of the building. Several items, including office equipment and interior décor, appeared completely destroyed by the blaze.

In her emotional caption, the actress thanked the Nigerian Fire Service for their prompt response, which she credited with saving a portion of the property from total ruin. She also commended her staff for their dedication and bravery during the crisis.

“This just happened today, the 8th of July 2025, around 7pm. My office building caught fire,” Ojo wrote. “Thank you to the Nigerian Fire Service and my staff for salvaging what was left. Thankfully, no lives were lost. The devil tested us today but God said no. With God on my side, we will bounce back bigger and better.”

Though the cause of the fire remains unknown at the time of this report, investigations are expected to follow in the coming days to determine what may have sparked the incident.

This fire marks a significant setback, but Ojo’s statement reflects her unwavering determination to recover and rebuild. Known for her bold personality and perseverance, she reassured supporters that she would rise above the incident stronger than ever.

In addition to her gratitude to the fire service, she emphasized that material losses could be replaced, but human life remains irreplaceable.
