Fidelity Bank has unveiled a new empowerment initiative aimed at equipping 100 growth-oriented entrepreneurs with advanced digital tools.
The bank made the announcement in Lagos on Monday, reaffirming its commitment to supporting SMEs as a key driver of national economic growth.
The initiative, part of the Fidelity SME Empowerment Program, is designed to address the operational challenges faced by many Nigerian entrepreneurs.
By offering state-of-the-art technology and training, the program seeks to streamline business operations, improve efficiency, and increase profitability for participating SMEs.
Each of the 100 selected businesses will receive a comprehensive digital toolkit. This package includes a desktop Point of Sale system, ERPRev business software, a receipt printer, a barcode scanner, and inventory management tools.
In addition to the hardware and software, Fidelity Bank will also provide ongoing business training, customer support, and onboarding services. Notably, beneficiaries will also receive a branded Fidelity POS device with no upfront cost.
Interested entrepreneurs can apply for the program by visiting https://bit.ly/SMEEmpowermentprogram2025. The application process is open to SMEs across different sectors, provided they demonstrate a readiness for growth and a willingness to adopt digital tools for business transformation.
Speaking on the program, Osita Ede, Divisional Head of Product Development at Fidelity Bank, highlighted the importance of digitalisation for business success in the 21st century.

According to Ede, research has consistently shown that SMEs which embrace digital tools experience higher growth, improved customer satisfaction, and better market competitiveness.
“As Nigeria’s leading SME bank, we are not just offering loans—we are investing in real solutions to help our customers succeed,” Ede said. “By giving away free digital toolkits, we are removing barriers to innovation and enabling SMEs to unlock their full potential. This initiative reflects our mission to help individuals grow, businesses thrive, and economies prosper.”
Ede also noted that the bank’s broader vision is to foster inclusive economic development and create a resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem across Nigeria.
The new program is a continuation of Fidelity Bank’s longstanding support for SMEs, which has included funding, mentorship, and access to dedicated business support platforms.
Earlier this year, as part of its World SME Day 2025 celebrations, the bank opened the doors of its SME Hub in Gbagada, Lagos, to the public and hosted special mentoring sessions for women entrepreneurs.
The bank has also introduced various sector-specific initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacity of small businesses to compete in a digital-first economy.
With this latest empowerment project, Fidelity Bank is reinforcing its position as a leading catalyst for SME innovation and inclusive growth in Nigeria.
