President Bola Tinubu, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and many other Nigerians have sent condolences to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State on the passing of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.

The President stresses that his thoughts and prayers are with the Ododo family, friends, and the people of Kogi State as they mourn the deceased.

Alhaji Momohsani died on Monday at 83.

President Tinubu describes the deceased as a respected community leader whose legacy is evident in the accomplishments of the children he nurtured and urged Governor Ododo, his family, and the entire Ododo clan to take solace in their patriarch’s life of service to God and the moral and religious values that guided him.

He prays for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed and God’s comfort for the bereaved family, friends and associates.

Sulu-Gambari also expressed condolences to Gov. Usman Ododo of Kogi over the passing of his father, Alh. Ahmed Ododo.

Sulu-Gambari, who also chairs the Kwara Traditional Rulers Council, stressed that a father’s role in the lives of children cannot be underestimated, he said in a message issued on Tuesday by his spokesman, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, describing Alhaji Ododo’s death as a painful experience.

He noted that the death was a monumental loss to the people of Kogi and humanity in general.

“I urge Governor Ododo and his siblings to take solace in the fact that their late father lived a worthy and exemplary life,” he said.

The Emir added that the late Alhaji Ododo left behind enduring legacies of integrity, honesty, and devotion to the service of Almighty Allah.

He extended condolences on behalf of the Kwara Traditional Rulers Council, and the government and people of Kogi over the unfortunate loss.

Sulu-Gambari prayed Almighty Allah to accept his good deeds, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him eternal rest in Al-Janat ul-Firdaus. (NAN)
