Juwon Adegite has won two bronze medals for Ekiti State in Para Athletics at the ongoing National Youth Games in Asaba.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Juwon won one bronze medal each in 100m race and Long Jump even as she displayed good strength in the 100m and came third position to win bronze on Wednesday.

In the Long Jump, she competed very well with her counterpart from other states and won bronze after the first athlete was disqualified for over age.

Reacting, the State Head Coach of Para Athletics, Peter Ojo, commended the performance of Juwon for her outstanding performance during the two games.

Ojo said the determination of the para athlete enhance her chances of winning the medals for the state.

“I am super proud for the efforts Juwon committed to her games and won her two bronze medals.

“She actually displayed good technique in the F4547 Long Jump event to win bronze,” he said.

NAN reports that earlier Team Ekiti won one Silver in Ayo Olopon and one Silver in Gymnastics at the tournament.

With the current medals in Para Athletics, Team Ekiti has a total of two silver and two bronze.
